Plan- |
|
|
Everyone seems to agree that the best bolts for building the serious
engine are made by
ARP.
While spending the money to have the engine built in my Supra, I might as well go
the extra mile and be sure to assemble it with parts that can handle
whatever I decide to throw at them. Hopefully these will keep me
from having to dig into this thing a fourth time. |

Project- |
|
|
Not a lot that I can write here as right now these are still sitting in
boxes on a shelf. |

Difficulty- |
|
|
1- This
depends of whether I have the engine assembled by the company doing the
work, or do it myself. |

Problems- |
|
|
1- I need
to see if ARP makes bolts for aftemarket rods, the bolts I bought are
for the stock rods and won't fit my
Crower rods. |

Payoff- |

Hopefully a big payoff in reliability. |

Stock- |

P/N ? |

Not sure what the stock 7MG bolts are rated at, but I have read that the
4AG bolts have been tested at less than 160,000 psi. |
