I also like golf (suck at it), darts (suck at
it), and pool (suck at it). I do have my own equipment for
each and look good playing as long as you don't see the swing and
search for the ball in the weeds, the throw and triple 1's, or the
strike and missing the hole by a mile. Of course in all sports, it's now whether you
win(!!!!!) or lose(@#**), it how you play the (&@%/>^$*##!!)
game. Right? Some of my other interests include reading, scuba diving,
and snow skiing. I have been scuba diving in Hurgada Egypt, Rhodes
Greece, Key Largo and in Jacksonville Florida. I first learned
to dive in Egypt: class, shallow pool dive, deep pool, two reef
dives the next day, equipment rental and food during the second day
all cost $35 American. The only problem with learning to dive
in the Red Sea is that the water is so clear and the fish so
colorful that anywhere else I dove seemed a let-down. My only snow skiing escapade
was years ago in Wintergreen Virginia. I think I did an
enviable job for my first time once I quit snow plowing. A
very good skier there ask me if I wanted to learn how to ski well
and quickly, of course I told him "yes." He then
took my poles from me! Without those crutches you learn to
lean forward and turning comes fairly easily. By the end of
the day I could make a trip all the way down the slope without
falling, and with my poles still in one hand. Of course, by
now, I probably would look like some rusty beginner again.
